Shanghai Environment

For just over one year, Shanghai was my home. It was where I slept every night, bought and cooked my groceries, and went for many of the epically-meandering walks that have become a signature part of my life. This body of work explores the process of trying to find one's place in an intensely impersonal urban environment through a reevaluation of the space through which one navigates.

The following images are a selection from the larger project, which will be accompanied by a long-form essay in a publication in late spring 2016 through Aleatorist. Upon publication, select prints will also be made available.
